Fergus Kavanagh Australian Kookaburras

Fergus Kavanagh is co – captain of the Australian Hockey Team – The Kookaburras. Coming from Geraldton in regional WA, Fergus represented Australia at the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympics, winning bronze medals in both games. The only player in international hockey history to win the first 5 consecutive Champions Trophies in which he has played, he is also a World Cup and Commonwealth Games gold medalist. Along with co-captaining the Kookaburras, Fergus captains the WA Thundersticks and in February 2013 won the high profile inaugural Indian Premier League as part of the Ranchi Rhinos. Fergus is currently playing the European Hockey League and Hoofklasse for Dutch powerhouse Bloemendaal. When not on representative duties he can be found playing for Hale Hockey Club in Perth. Not one to forget where he came from, the Saints club in Geraldton might welcome him back into their colours one day.

Karri McMahon, Australian Hockeyroos

Karri McMahon is set to be one of the Hockeyroo's biggest stars. Having been an AIS scholarship holder in 2012, she made her debut for the Hockeyroos in the Champions Challenge late that year - where she won Gold.

Karri shot to prominance as a youngster in the South Australian Southern Suns side that won the National League in 2011. By 2013 she was captain of the Australian team at the AYOF, skippering them to the gold medal. Now living in Perth, Karri is a passionate South Australian, hailing from Berri in the beautiful Riverland.

Georgia Nanscawen, Australian Hockeyroos

One of the most highly rated young players in the world, Georgia made her Hockeyroo debut 1 day after her 17th birthday – becoming the third youngest Hockeyroo in history. At only 20, she became the youngest player in Australian history to have made 100 test appearances. IN 2009 she competed in the Champions Trophy and Junior World Cup. In 2010 she went to the World Cup and 2012 became an Olympian at the London Olympic Games. In 2013 she was part of the World League Winning Hockeyroo team and the became one a few select players to have gone to 2 Junior World Cups. From Melbourne, Victoria, Georgia’s hometown club is the Essendon Ladies. Now based in now based at the AIS in Perth, she plays club hockey for the Curtin Trinity Pirates.
